Literally the only two channels on YouTube I feel are worth subscribing to belong to you. Lots of great information on both channels. I'm a life long fisherman and outdoorsman but it's always great to learn new tricks.

on your trucker hitch, if you go thru the loop twice before sinching it will self tighten, the n you can add a 1/2 hitch to secure

Thanks for sharing your knowledge on these knots. I will have to watch the video a few more times with some rope in hand to practice.

Truly first-rate, very practical, and helpful, except for our printed language and one dubious pronunciation (bowline). In the Navy, we pronounced it "bo-lin", which is consistent with some other such words that have "counterintuitive" pnonunciations. However, one weird sentence and several misspellings spoiled the text. ||| The flower is a "daisy", not a "daisey". The word is spelled "bight", not "bite". I tallied three times it was misspelled, consistently. Re slip knots, you meant "loose", not "lose". In our popular dialect which [mis]spells by consensus, some words like "lose/loose" and "chose/choose" have swapped spellings. (What the-heck happened with our English teachers?) About that bizarre sentence, it began with "This version used ended with a...". I stared at that weird double verb, a novel grammatical construction, and gave up; continued watching. I think one or more words were left out. Anyhow, copy-edited, it could say "The version we used ended with a..." ||| While on knots, remember the recent video showing high-speed-camera shots of shoelaces becoming untied? Apparently, none of the scientists knew that the laces were tied wrong! A shoelace knot should be a slip square knot, but countless people tie it as a slip granny knot! Generational disconnect...

Good stuff and I'm not trying to be technical or anything at all but bight and loop are actually completely different in rope/knot terminology. With a bight the rope doesn't cross itself, but with a loop the rope crosses itself.

Nice. But the difficulty of the video is that most of the images are shown in the 'opposite way'. I mean, if you should turn 180°, it would be easier for us to follow how it's done. Anyway, thx for sharing.
